There seems to be no limit to American industrys’s capacity to innovate, and that is especially true when it comes to firearms. Every year it seems like a new firearm product enters the marketplace, either trying to improve on existing designs or creating new ones altogether. And that is where the Gripknife enters the conversation. While attaching a knife to a gun isn’t a new concept, the Gripeknife is probably different from anything you’ve ever imagined.
If there is one thing Americans love it is being able to get tools that can perform two jobs. Why spend money for two tools when you can buy one that does the job of both better?
One of the more important parts of a rifle’s design is the foregrip. This helps facilitate easier hand placement on the rifle and gives you better control. But, what if this part of the gun could serve an additional purpose? That is what the inventors of the Gripknife must’ve been thinking when they came up with the Gripknife. It is a great accessory that performs two jobs and does both of them extremely well.

The Gripknife is a combination of a rifle’s foregrip, and a spring-loaded army knife, ready to spring into action in an instant. The beauty of this design is that it is indistinguishable from an ordinary rifle grip. This is an important design feature since it won’t give away your ace in the hole to the enemy. What good is an extra layer of protection if the enemy is going to be given advanced notice?
It can be employed as a last line of defense, or if you run out of ammo and have to fight in close quarters, it can assume the duties of a bayonet. It can be adapted to fit the base of the long gun, or attached to any tactical rail system.
The blade of the Gripknife is designed to pop out with just the push of a button, as you pull down on the grip. This action will cause the spring-loaded blade to jut-out from the polymer grip.
The design is similar to that found in switchblades, but have been redesigned to be stronger and more durable than any switchblade presently on the market. It also makes it easier to avoid any legal restrictions associated with switchblades.
When it springs from its loaded position, the blade will automatically lock in place once it’s deployed, and be ready for action. You don’t want to be caught in a situation with a weapon that fails to deploy properly. An unfortunate incident like that could cost you your life.
To return it to its loaded position simply press the lock release button and push the blade back into its sheath and the Gripknife resumes its duty as an ordinary foregrip.
The locking mechanism redesign makes the blade extra strong, especially when compared to regular switchblades. I fact, most people consider the locking mechanism on switchblades weaker than those found on regular pocket knives.
After extensive testing and several design changes, the manufacturers of the Gripknife came up with an innovative design called the linear cam lock. This design transfers the pressure on the blade to the chassis, making it able to withstand an enormous amount of force, exceeding any other knife in its classification.
In spite of the time and effort that went into the development of the Gripnife, the company did not any corners to bring it to fruition. If you want the title of the strongest blade on the market, then it must be able to stand up under the most strenuous battle conditions.
Constructed out of M2 high-intensity steel, this blade is designed and built for maximum strength and durability.
M2 steel is known for its ability to resist wear and tear, and its toughness. And it is for this reason that it is preferred by manufacturers for making tools and knives to performs jobs that others couldn’t handle. And it is for that same reason the manufacturers of the Gripknife chose it M2 steel for its blades, and what sets it apart from other knives on the market today.
It doesn’t matter if you need to bust through a concrete wall or cut through a cable, the Gripknife has proven its worth many times over again. So have no fear, the Gripknife can rise to the occasion no matter what situation you might find yourself trapped in.
As stated earlier, the Gripknife’s best selling point is its ability to perform two jobs, while standing at the ready when an extreme situation presents itself.
Any experienced warrior will tell you it is better to have an extra defense and not need it than to be caught in a situation where you do need it and don’t have it.
Well, the Gripknife has that area covered and more. Imagine if you found yourself in a fight in close quarters, and the enemy has managed to get his hands on your weapon. Unable to get a clear shot, your only recourse might be to maneuver him into a position where you could use the Gripknife. It is a maneuver that could save your life, but wouldn’t be possible otherwise. Or, let’s say your gun malfunctioned, or you ran out of ammo, what then? This is where your Gripknife gives you that extra advantage.
Anyone with battlefield experience will tell you that knives save lives and that no other weapon is better for close-quarter fighting. But what makes the Gripknife so unique is, no other similar weapon can deploy its blade as quickly as the Gripknife.
Now, while it is true that some gun shops have a reputation for trying to get you to buy firearm accessories that you don’t need, the Gripknife does not belong in that category. The Gripknife should be considered a necessity.
As stated earlier, the Gripknife gives you a handy and quick backup plan should the need arise.
So, if you had to choose between all the battlefield knives out there, make that choice the Gripknife.
